韩国当选总统李明博表示，在接任总统之后，他的政府将继续迫使北韩放弃核武器，但他补充说，他同时将耐心对待平壤。
李明博星期四在首尔与外国记者谈话时承诺，他将和参与北韩核项目谈判的国家，像美国、中国、俄罗斯和日本进行更多的合作。
李明博还表示，他将试图说服北韩，放弃核武计划会更有利于北韩政府和人民。
South Korea’s president-elect Lee Myung-bak says his government will continue to press North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons after he takes office, but adds that he will also be patient with Pyongyang.
Speaking with foreign correspondents in Seoul Thursday, Mr. Lee promised more cooperation with countries involved in the talks on North Korea’s nuclear program, such as the United States, China, Russia and Japan.
He also said he would try to convince the North that giving up its nuclear weapons program will benefit both the government and its people.
