Britain says it is freezing the assets of Iran’s largest bank, in a further move to penalize Tehran for failing to ease Western concerns about its suspected nuclear weapons program. Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced the freeze today (Monday), at a joint news conference in London with U.S. President George Bush.
Mr. Brown said he will also press other European governments to agree later this week on a new round of sanctions against Tehran.
