国际奥委会主席雅克.罗格批评牙买加短跑运动博尔特对其他运动员缺乏尊重。
博尔特成为美国队员卡尔.刘易斯1984年以来夺得100和200米短跑比赛两项冠军的首位运动员，而且是唯一在两项比赛中都打破世界记录的人。
博尔特在一百米比赛中还没有冲过终点线就拍打胸膛庆祝了。虽然他在200米比赛结束前没有庆祝，但他还没有向其他运动员致意，就宣布自己是第一名，抓住一面牙买加国旗绕场奔跑了。
罗格说，博尔特没有按照国际奥委会相信的一位冠军应有的方式行事，不过他表示，22岁的博尔特应该随着年龄的增长而成熟起来。
罗格随后将博尔特和美国传奇短跑选手杰西.欧文斯相比，称赞博尔特的成就。
International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge has criticized Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt for showing a lack of respect toward other athletes.
Bolt became the first man since American Carl Lewis in 1984 to win both the 100 and 200 meter sprints. He became the only man to complete the sweep with world records in both.
Bolt started to celebrate his 100 meter win before he even crossed the finish line by pounding his chest. Although he finished the 200 meter race before celebrating, he immediately grabbed a Jamaican flag started his victory lap after he finished declaring himself number one without acknowledging the other runners.
Rogge said Bolt did not act the way the IOC believes a champion should but that the 22 year old should mature with age. Rogge later praised Bolt’s accomplishments by comparing Bolt to legendary American sprinter Jesse Owens.
Bolt gets a chance at a third gold when he competes in the four by 100 meter relay.
