中国国家媒体说，又有2名涉及中国毒奶粉丑闻的嫌疑人星期二受审，从而将那些面临这一案件指控的人数升到17人。官方的新华社报导说，耿金平和耿金珠两兄弟因为制造和销售含有化学品三聚氰胺污染的食品添加剂受到审判。
这两兄弟据说销售受到污染的牛奶给在中国北方的河北省的三鹿集团和其他奶业公司。在毒奶粉丑闻9月份曝光的时候，三鹿公司是第一个被发现销售受三聚氰胺污染产品的牛奶制造商。
因为喝了含有三聚氰胺牛奶，至少6名儿童死亡，近30万儿童患病。星期一，包括一对夫妻在内的9人因为被指控贩卖有毒食品而受到审判。另外6人在上星期五受到审判。
Chinese state media say two more suspects in the country’s tainted milk scandal were put on trial Tuesday, bringing the number of those facing charges over the case to 17. The official Xinhua news agency reports that two brothers, Geng Jinping and Geng Jinzhu, are being tried for making and selling food additives laced with the chemical melamine.
The two brothers allegedly sold tainted milk to Sanlu Group and other dairy companies in China’s northern Hebei province. Sanlu was the first milk manufacturer found selling products tainted with melamine when the scandal surfaced in September.
At least six children were killed and nearly 300-thousand more were sickened from drinking milk laced with melamine. On Monday, nine people – including a husband and wife – went on trial for allegedly trading and selling tainted additives. Six others were tried last Friday.
