中国中部地区警方发动大规模搜捕，捉拿涉嫌杀死8人的一名男子。遇害者包括一名2岁幼儿。警方将地方废品收购人熊振林列为凶杀嫌疑人。
中国官方的新华社今天(星期二)报导说，这8名遇害人星期一在湖北省随州市被杀。报导说，根据遇害人身上的伤口判断，凶手使用的是斧头。
报导说，警方在熊振林的废品站里发现了6具尸体和染有鲜血的斧头。大部分死者是废品站的雇员。
新华社说，警方将向能提供把凶手定罪的信息的人支付大约7千美元的赏金。
Police in central China have launched a massive hunt for a man suspected of killing eight people, including a two-year-old boy. Police have named Xiong Zhenlin, a local junk collector, as the suspect in the killings.
China’s official Xinhua news agency reported today (Tuesday) that the eight victims were murdered Monday in the city of Suizhou in Hubei province. The report says the victims’ wounds suggest their attacker was armed with an axe.
It says police found six of the bodies and blood-covered axes in Xiong’s junk yard. Most of the victims were his employees.
Xinhua says police are offering a reward of about seven-thousand dollars for information that could lead to the killer’s conviction.
