中国山西省省长王君就本星期早些时候发生的煤矿爆炸事件表示道歉。爆炸造成74人丧生，100多人受伤。王君在对受害者及其家属的发言中对生命损失表示悲痛。王君今年1月当选为省长。此前，他担任国家安监总局局长。
星期天在太原市附近的屯兰煤矿发生的爆炸事件是中国2007年12月以来人员死伤最多的煤矿事故。2007年的事故也发生在山西省，有105人丧生。这次煤矿爆炸后，3名煤矿高层负责人被解职。爆炸的原因仍在调查之中。
The governor of China’s Shanxi province has apologized for a local mine explosion earlier this week that left 74 people dead and more than a hundred injured. Wang Jun lamented the loss of lives Tuesday in a message to the victims and their families. Wang was elected governor of Shanxi in January after serving as the head of the State Administration of Work Safety.
Sunday’s accident at the Tunlan coal mine, near the city of Taiyuan, is the most lethal in China since a coal mine blast in December of 2007 killed 105 people in the same province. Three of the mine’s top officials were dismissed after the accident. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
