President Barack Obama has condemned North Korea’s latest nuclear test.
At the White House Monday, Mr. Obama said the international community must stand up to North Korea on the nuclear issue. He said the North Korean nuclear program poses a grave threat to the peace and security of the world. He described the test as a reckless action in blatant violation of international law.
Mr. Obama said North Korea is deepening its own isolation and is inviting stronger international pressure. The president pledged to redouble efforts toward a stronger international nonproliferation regime.
