菲律宾司法部长德利马星期五说，有不止12个人可能被起诉。前一天德利马曾说她会建议对10人提出起诉，其中包括警察和记者。
德利马星期四说，报告显示8名遇害者是被人质劫持者开枪打死的。
在8月23号这次事件中，一名被开除的警察控制了一辆巴士，要求警方恢复其职务。在其后12小时的对峙中，警察试图闯入巴士未遂。

Philippine President Benigno Aquino has begun analyzing a report that calls for charges to be filed against those linked to a botched bus hostage rescue attempt that left eight Hong Kong tourists dead.
Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said Friday more than 12 people could be charged, after saying a day earlier that she would recommend charges against 10 people, including police and journalists.
De Lima also said Thursday the report will indicate the eight victims were shot and killed by the hostage-taker.
In the August 23 incident, a fired policeman seized control of the bus and demanded to be reinstated. During a 12-hour standoff, police tried unsuccessfully to break into the bus.
A police sniper killed the hijacker, Rolando Mendoza, but not before the eight were killed.
