Pyongyang is also threatening “physical action” without warning to end psychological warfare by South Korea.North Korea’s official news agency reported the remarks by the National Defense Commission on Monday, just days after leader Kim Jong Il returned from a trip to China. Previously, North Korea had been seeking dialogue with the South.
The statement said the North will cut off a communication line used by the two countries’ militaries along the east coast of the Korean peninsula. It said it will also shut a liaison office at the shared Mount Kumgang resort, which is already closed over a separate dispute.South Korean analysts dismissed the move as an attempt to extract concessions from the South.
