一份最新报告预测，中国的国防开支到2015年将超过所有亚太地区国家的总和。简氏防务咨询机构星期二发表的研究报告说，中国去年的国防开支约为1200 亿美元。报告说，随着中国战斗机等军事设施的现代化，预计这个数字到2015年几乎增长一倍，达到2380亿美元。
这将是位居第二的日本军费开支计划的4倍以上。随着中国近年来国内生产总值(GDP)的增加，其军事预算也在逐步提高。但是这份报告认为，在今后3年里中国军事预算的增幅将大幅超过GDP的增幅。
A new report predicts China will be spending more on defense by 2015 than all other Asia Pacific countries combined.The study published Tuesday by the security firm IHS Jane’s says China spent nearly $120 billion on defense last year. It says that figure is expected to almost double to $238 billion by 2015, as China modernizes its fighter jets and other military equipment.
That would be more than four times as much as second-placed Japan is projected to spend on its military. China has steadily increased its military budget as the its gross domestic product has increased in recent years. But the report said Beijing’s military budget is expected to grow at a substantially higher rate than its GDP over the next three years.
