中国跨栏运动员和世界冠军刘翔因为右腿受伤，退出了男子110米跨栏比赛，他将不能在本国体育迷面前参加比赛。
今天(星期一)，在鸟巢国家体育场，刘翔在预选赛中出场，但是在跨越第一道栏之前就痛苦地退出了比赛。前世界记录保持者刘翔是2004年雅典奥运会的冠军，也是中国体育迷的主要关注点。
Chinese hurdler and world champion Liu Xiang has pulled out of the Olympic men’s 110-meters hurdles race because of a (right) leg injury and will not compete in front of his home fans.
Liu pulled up in pain before the first hurdle in a qualifying heat at the Bird’s Nest stadium (today / Monday). The former world record holder in the event, Liu was the 2004 Olympic champion and was a main attraction for Chinese fans.
