中国国务院说，中国将在未来3年花费超过1千两百亿美元来改善医疗保健系统。国务院说，这笔钱将用于改善基本医保体系，以及改革公立医院。中国的公立医院经常由于收费高、看病难和医生服务差而饱受批评。公众对于国家的医保体系状况越来越多感到愤怒。

China’s State Council says the country will spend more than 120-billion dollars over the next three years to improve the health care system. The State Council said (Wednesday) the money will be spent on improving the basic medical insurance system and reforming public hospitals. Chinese public hospitals are often criticized for their high fees, lack of access and poor doctor services, and there is a growing public anger about the state of the health care system.
The council said that, between now and 2001, the government wants most of the population to be covered by basic health insurance. It also wants to reduce cost of services and improve health care quality.
